An Invitation…

From the Women’s Rosh Hodesh Group of Temple Beth El

All women are welcome to join us on the new moon of each month on the Hebrew calendar.

Women worldwide celebrate the ancient tradition of Rosh Hodesh in a variety of ways. At Temple Beth El, women have been planning these spiritually deepening, creatively satisfying events for over 20 years.

Each month we come together to deepen our understanding of our own spirituality and relationship with Judaism as women—through literature, scripture, creative arts, music, and food. We create a sacred space to carry on this ancient tradition of taking a moment to fill our heart, minds, and souls.

Rosh Hodesh takes place at the new moon, which is the beginning of each Hebrew month. We take turns signing up for any month(s) we would like to facilitate. Those of us who have planned these evenings have found that this process is as rewarding an experience as the event itself—if not more. Generally two to three women work together to facilitate an evening with a theme that corresponds to the meaning of the month on the Hebrew calendar in an engaging atmosphere with the space to explore these themes globally and personally.

All women interested are welcome to attend and bring friends to any of these events. Temple membership is not a requirement. Please check out our online community: Temple Beth El Women's Rosh Hodesh Group.
