Exploring the Tradition of Ketubot With Rabbi Paula on Zoom

Thursday, January 30, 2025 1 Sh'vat 5785

7:00 PM - 8:30 PM

Presented by Lifelong Learning

Have you ever wondered about the tradition of signing a ketubah (a Jewish marriage contract) at a wedding? This custom has been part of a Jewish wedding for over 2,500 years and was created to protect the bride. Though the ketubah has evolved over many centuries with creative art and calligraphy, it remains part of our modern Jewish tradition. But what was the contract’s origin, and how did this tradition start?  And how does this reflect Jewish values?  Please join Rabbi Paula for an engaging conversation about ketubot.
