Mitzvah Day is for Everyone!
Sunday, January 19 9am-noon

Help make a positive impact in Santa Cruz County by working together with other Temple members. This annual Temple-wide event brings together Temple School students, families, and individuals from seniors to preschoolers and everyone in between!

We’ll gather at TBE at 9am for a community kick-off, then go to our work sites.

BEACH CLEAN UP with SAVE OUR SHORES

A Sanctuary Steward will bring everything you need to clean up Rio Del Mar Beach!

BEIT OLAM CEMETERY CLEAN UP

Help beautify our cemetery by cleaning up headstones and clearing debris! Please bring water, gloves, soft brushes (to clean the headstones), rake, garden tools, wheelbarrow (if you have them). Bring work gloves and garden tools.

TRAILWORK AT NISENE MARKS

Work with a trail steward from Advocates for Nisene Marks State Park! Typical work includes maintaining trails (primarily by cutting back vegetation), painting, clearing culverts and freeing trees from ivy. Meet at the main entrance kiosk desk at 9:30am.

COOKING FOR MAZON

Work in the TBE kitchen to cook an entree and a dessert for 72 people!

GAGA PIT PAINTING

Help paint TBE's gaga pit so that kids can use it during Temple School and Camp Kayetz! 

PUCKER UP FOR KITTENS

Set up a hot chocolate or lemonade stand on West Cliff Drive, with all proceeds given to the animal shelter!
