Peace begins here: Practicing skills to listen across conflict and divides
How has your ability to listen across differences been impacted by life under the current political climate?
How are your views and feelings about Israel and Palestine impacted by current events?
Which polarizing topics are hardest for you to listen to or empathize with others?
In this Listening Circle/Practice session we will focus on skill-building as well as creating a secure community environment for expressing a range of feelings and ideas. We will practice grounding in turbulent times, cultivating empathy, and building capacity to form alliances with people who may see things differently.
Presented by Shama'ti, a collaborative of Santa Cruz Jews providing support and skills to heal rifts in the Jewish community, form stronger alliances both within and outside the community, and to foster resilience in these turbulent times. Facilitated by Batya Kagan, Sarah Young, Dana Peleg, Mikey Cohen, Andrew Purchin, and Micheal Levy
