Contemporary Israeli music is the product of years of evolutions and development. Join Elior Amar, former Santa Cruz Hillel Israel Fellow, in exploring Israeli culture and history through the evolution of the local music scene by genres throughout the years.
 
Elior Amar grew up in Israel.  Elior has a Bachelor’s degree in Education and Language Teaching. He served as an Intelligence officer in the Israeli Army, and later worked at a startup before coming to California.  More recently,  he spent three years as the Israel Fellow here at Santa Cruz Hillel.  Elior and his husband, Thomas, along with their two cats, currently live in Austin, Texas.
